Blender Conference 2026 Concludes in Amsterdam with Record Sessions and Exhibits
The Blender Conference 2026 recently concluded its annual gathering in Amsterdam, uniting artists, developers, and contributors from the global 3D creation community. Over the course of three days, more than 700 attendees from over 50 countries gathered at the Felix Meritis venue to connect, learn, and share their expertise in using Blender for digital art and animation.
The packed schedule featured 126 speakers across four stages, delivering over 100 hours of educational content. Conference sessions covered a wide spectrum of technical and creative topics, including digital color science, visual effects techniques, translating 2D comic styles into 3D environments, real-time viewport optimization, and open material standards. Recordings of the sessions were made publicly available on PeerTube and YouTube platforms to accommodate attendees.
In addition to the technical talks, the event marked two decades of open filmmaking with a special exhibition and screenings of open movies. Attendees experienced a handcrafted art installation displaying film frames alongside screenings attended by directors and artists. Feedback from participants remained highly positive, with a large majority indicating plans to return for the next annual event.
