Blender Celebrates 20 Years of Open Movies and 17 Films

The Blender Foundation is celebrating twenty years of its open movie project, a journey spanning seventeen films. The foundation thanked the Blender community for the sustained support that helped make these productions possible and keep the project going.

As part of the celebrations at Blender Conference 2026, an art installation presented frames from the films. Visitors could take frames home as keepsakes, carrying away a small piece of the project’s filmmaking history.
